ITM Parent Newsletter

SO, YOU’RE THE PARENT OF A TEENAGER, HUH?

Congratulations! You have one of the most important (and sometimes the most difficult) jobs on the planet.

We know your job isn’t always easy, but here’s what we want you to know– we’re here to help in any way that we can. Sure, we’re a “youth” ministry, but teenagers aren’t the only people we care about. We care about you too.

No matter how connected you are with our church, this Parent Newsletter will show you some of the ways that we care for and serve you and your child. Thanks for letting us be another voice in the life of your teenager. Your trust and partnership mean a lot to us.
ITM Parents,

It’s hard to believe, but we are officially in the home stretch—just about eight weeks left in the school year. Somehow we’ve gone from “fresh start in January” to “wait, how is it already almost summer?” If your home feels anything like mine, this is the season of full calendars, end-of-year projects, and trying to remember which day someone needs to wear what.

These last couple of months can feel like a sprint, but they’re also a really important opportunity. For our students, this is a chance to finish well—academically, relationally, and most importantly, spiritually. The habits they build and the choices they make now matter. Our encouragement to them (and to you) is simple: don’t coast to the finish line—lean in.

Here in ITM, we’re continuing to anchor everything in the gospel. As we walk through God’s Word together, our desire is that students not only grow in their understanding of truth, but also in their love for Jesus and their confidence to live that out in everyday life—at school, at home, and with their friends.

As always, the calendar is full this time of year. From upcoming events to summer opportunities, there are a lot of ways for students to stay connected and keep growing. These moments aren’t just busy—they’re meaningful. Whether it’s a trip, a camp, or a simple midweek gathering, each one is a chance for students to deepen their faith and build Christ-centered friendships. If you haven’t already, take a few minutes to look ahead and make plans—especially for summer. It will be here before we know it.

Thank you for continuing to partner with us. We know this season can be hectic, but your investment in your student’s spiritual life makes an eternal difference. We’re grateful to walk alongside you as we encourage them to stay focused, stay faithful, and finish strong.
Let’s make these last weeks count!

— Pastor Joel

Upcoming Sermon Information

Upcoming Sermon Focus: April & May

As we move into the final stretch of the school year, our teaching calendar is designed to keep students grounded in the gospel while helping them finish strong. Each week, we’re pointing them back to who they are in Christ and what it looks like to live that out daily.

April: Rooted in Christ — Living the Fullness of God’s Grace

Throughout April, students will walk through the book of Ephesians, focusing on the identity, unity, and strength we have in Christ. This series helps students understand not just what they believe, but how it shapes their everyday lives.

Students will learn:
• Chosen and blessed in Christ (Ephesians 1:1–23) — Our identity begins with what God has done for us
• Made alive and united in Christ (Ephesians 2:1–22) — From death to life and brought together as one family
• Living worthy of the calling (Ephesians 4:1–32) — Growing in maturity, unity, and love
• The armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–24) — Standing firm in spiritual battles through God’s strength

This series will help students build a strong foundation in their identity in Christ and encourage them to stand firm in their faith.

May: Christ at the Center — A Life Marked by Joy, Wisdom, and Purpose

In May, we’ll shift to focusing on what it looks like to live with Christ at the center of everything. As the school year wraps up, this series challenges students to live with purpose and perspective.

Students will learn:
• Joy in every season (Philippians 4:1–23) — True joy is found in Christ, not circumstances
• Christ over all (Colossians 1:1–29) — Jesus is supreme over every part of life
• Living the transformed life (Colossians 3:1–4:18) — A life shaped by Christ looks different daily

Through this series, students will be encouraged to center their lives on Christ and carry that focus into the summer months.

How Parents Can Engage

We encourage parents to:
• Ask your student what they’re learning each week and how it applies to their life
• Read along in the passages we’re studying (find it on the church app)
• Talk about what it looks like to finish the school year with integrity and faithfulness

Our prayer is that these final weeks help students stay rooted in Christ, finish strong, and step into summer with a faith that is active and growing.

Upcoming Events & Announcements

ITM Eggstravaganza 2026 | March 29, 2026

We’re gearing up for one of our biggest outreach events of the year, and we need your student’s help to make it happen. Eggstravaganza is a fun, high-energy Easter event designed to serve families in our community—and it takes a team of students to pull it off well.

Students can serve in a variety of roles - from helping hide eggs and preparing hunt areas to assisting families, managing activity zones, and keeping everything running smoothly. Whether behind the scenes or interacting directly with guests, every role plays a part in creating a welcoming and impactful experience.

This is a great opportunity for students to serve, build friendships, and be a part of something that points others to Christ in a simple but meaningful way. We’d love to see as many of our students involved as possible.

NEXT GEN SUNDAY | April 26, 2026

Next Gen Sunday is a special opportunity for our students to step up and lead across our Sunday services. From worship to speaking and serving, this day is all about seeing God work in and through the next generation.

Students involved will help lead various parts of the service, using their gifts to serve the church and point others to Christ. It’s always an encouraging and powerful morning for our entire church family.

There will be a short midweek practice to help prepare, and Sunday morning will be an early start as students get ready to lead well. This is a great opportunity for students to grow in confidence, take ownership of their faith, and be a part of something meaningful.

Next Gen Sunday is also connected to our summer camp fundraiser, making it an important day both spiritually and practically for our ministry.

We’d love to see your student involved—be sure to sign up and be part of what God is doing. -- HERE

SUMMER CAMP | June 29 – July 3, 2026

Summer Camp is one of the most impactful weeks of the year for many of our students, and we’re excited to be heading to Manderley Christian Camp in Pikeville, Tennessee.

Manderley provides a focused environment where students can step away from everyday distractions and intentionally grow in their relationship with Christ. Throughout the week, students will experience daily worship, biblical teaching, and small group discussions that challenge and encourage them in their faith.

Along with these spiritual rhythms, camp also includes fun activities and shared experiences that help build lasting friendships and strengthen community within our group.

The total cost for camp is $300 (before fundraising) and includes registration, travel, and camp-related expenses.

Spots are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your student’s place.
