ITM Parent Newsletter

SO, YOU’RE THE PARENT OF A TEENAGER, HUH?

Congratulations! You have one of the most important (and sometimes the most difficult) jobs on the planet.

We know your job isn’t always easy, but here’s what we want you to know– we’re here to help in any way that we can. Sure, we’re a “youth” ministry, but teenagers aren’t the only people we care about. We care about you too.

No matter how connected you are with our church, this Parent Newsletter will show you some of the ways that we care for and serve you and your child. Thanks for letting us be another voice in the life of your teenager. Your trust and partnership mean a lot to us.
ITM Parents,

Sharpen those pencils, dust off the backpacks, and brace yourselves—ITM is back!
We’re diving into the 2025–26 school year with more energy than a youth group on a Mountain Dew run. This year’s going to be packed with powerful teaching, unforgettable events, and plenty of moments that will have your teens laughing, growing, and maybe even quoting Scripture at the dinner table (in context, we hope!).

Below you’ll find all the details you need to stay in the loop—and maybe even outpace your teen in knowing what’s coming next.

— Pastor Joel

Upcoming Sermon Information

This month, our students are walking through the first part of Genesis alongside the opening chapters of Matthew. In our "Foundations" series, we’re helping students build Biblical literacy—learning how the very first chapters of the Bible connect to the life and mission of Jesus.

Over four weeks, we’ll see:
  • God the Creator – His design for life and why we can trust Him
  • The Fall and the First Promise – How sin entered the world and God’s first promise of a Savior
  • Faith to Walk With God – Noah’s obedience and how Jesus is faithful where others failed
  • The Call of Abraham – God’s covenant and Jesus’ teaching on the blessed life

Why this matters: Our goal is for students to see the Bible as one connected story that reveals God’s character and His plan for redemption. Biblical literacy gives them the tools to read, understand, and apply Scripture for themselves—so their faith isn’t just borrowed from others but built on God’s unchanging Word.
