“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” - Titus 3:5

Titus 3:5 says, “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost”. This verse tells the true meaning of our salvation: that it is not achieved by merit or good deeds, but only through the mercy of God.

The catalyst of our redemption is His mercy. Many of us find ourselves striving to earn God's favor through good deeds, thinking that actions can outweigh our sin. But Titus 3:5 reminds us that it is His unconditional love that rescues us from our sin and death. We are called to let go of our pride and to rely on the grace He has given us.

Remember the moment you accepted Christ as your Savior and the relief you felt. In that moment, we were not only forgiven, but we were made new again. The rebirth and renewal is God's transformative work in our lives. It is through the Holy Spirit that we are cleansed and reborn to live a new life with Christ.

Reflect on the depth of God’s mercy in your life. Thank Him for the grace that saved you and the Holy Spirit that continues to renew you. Let this truth encourage you to live out your faith in God’s mercy. Share your new life with Christ with those around you, be a vessel of God’s grace by sharing His light with others.
