WFBGROUPS

From the very beginning, Christians in the New Testament lived in authentic community—caring for one another, lifting each other up in prayer, offering encouragement, and serving Jesus together.

"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” — Acts 2:42

At West Florida Baptist Church, we follow that same pattern—growing in God’s Word, building Christ-centered relationships, and showing His love to one another as we live out the Christian life together.

CONNECT GROUPS

Our Connect Groups keep gatherings small and personal, creating space to love God and love one another.

Join a group and experience the strength of a Christ-centered community as you grow together. Getting connected is vital for building lasting relationships and growing in your faith. These are designed to help build a strong Christian community motivated by the command to love God and love one another.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. — John 13:34-35

DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS

Our Discipleship Groups, or "D-Groups," provide an essential environment for every believer to build meaningful friendships, experience accountability, and, most importantly, develop a life deeply rooted in God’s Word. As we seek to live out our God-given calling to follow Jesus and make disciples each day, D-Groups play an integral role in that process.

D-Groups are gender-specific, closed groups of 3-5 believers who meet together weekly for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation.

Taking this Next Step in either leading others down a path of discipleship or are taking the step in joining one will challenge your growth.

SERVE GROUPS

Our Serve Groups provide opportunities to use your gifts and talents to advance God’s kingdom while building meaningful connections with others.

From ministries like Children’s, Music, Nursery, and Media to outreach efforts such as Coming Clean Recovery, GO Team, and Fostering Hope, there is a place for everyone to serve. Whether weekly, by rotation, or as needed, each group helps meet real needs while sharing the love of Christ with our church and community.

Serve Groups are a practical way to live out your faith by meeting real needs, building relationships, and advancing God’s kingdom. Together, we serve to glorify Christ and share His love with our church and community!

As 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

PRAYER GROUPS

Through Women Who Pray, Men Who Pray, and Women Prayer & Pilates we gather to lift up one another, our church, and our community before the Lord. These groups provide a place to strengthen our faith, encourage one another, and experience the power of prayer in everyday life.

Prayer is ESSENTIAL! Connecting with God personally through prayer strengthens our faith and draws us closer to Him each day. Encouraging one another in community helps us grow in a faith that remains steadfast even when life feels difficult.
